“We are here to stay” businessman, pro-Russian separatist leader and former Ukrainian MP Oleg Tsarev said on 23 March 2022 when interviewed by “information-agency” the Anti-Fascist. Here are the most important parts, and they bode no good for anyone.

“By European standards, Ukraine is a very large country. To restore order to such an area takes a concerted effort, not only involving the army and special services, this is already happening, but also virtually all ministries and departments of the Russian Federation. A supra-departmental collegial body in the image of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief during the Great Patriotic War must be set up urgently. This should include the first heads of Russian departments or their deputies. Such a body should be competent in both military issues and in matters of establishing peaceful life in the liberated territory.

“The length of the special operation could be considerably reduced if the Armed Forces of Belarus join in and take control of part of the regions of Western Ukraine.

And, of course, the information front is extremely important. Especially in the case of Ukraine, where the West and its subordinate nationalists have made and continue to make great efforts to create the right mood in society. The military knows how to technically solve this issue — but we need a team.”

“Now the population watches and listens to the Ukrainian media. According to the Ukrainian media, the Ukranian army is finishing off the Russian army somewhere near Moscow. The local population and soldiers of the Russian army, in the absence of objective information, listen to and watch Ukrainian radio and television, which can not but affect the fighting spirit of the army and the loyalty of the local population. The presence of Ukrainian propaganda and the lack of objective information simultaneously strengthens the moral and political condition of the Ukranian army and, of course, works against us. It is difficult to tell a person anything, to convince him of something, when he turns on the TV, opens a website, and reads that his country has been occupied by invaders who kill civilians and who must be fought by all available means. Hence the rallies, protests, some sabotage raids — all this is called for by the Ukrainian media. And there is no alternative to them today. This must urgently be put right.”

“As far as I understand, people are not fully aware of the purpose of the special operation. It has been stated that this is denazification and demilitarization, but what will follow is not yet clear. People fear that the Russian army will fulfill its tasks and leave — as some high-ranking Russian officials openly say — and the nationalists, Soros and other elements that brought the country to its current state will return to power in Ukraine. If so, those who are cooperating with us will be punished.”

“It is also necessary to introduce the legislation of the Russian Federation or the People’s Republic of China in the liberated territories — at least on a temporary basis until the Ukrainian legislation is updated.”

[on flying the Russian flag from government buildings]

But won’t Ukrainians perceive this as an occupation? The Russian leadership has repeatedly said that it does not intend to occupy Ukraine, and the tricolor over the administration building can be seen as such.

Foreign flags — those of the USA or EU — are hoisted upon the key administrative buildings of Ukraine on a permanent basis — this was after the Maidan — or on holidays. No one was embarrassed or upset, no one talked about occupation. On the contrary, it made some people proud. Why should the Russian tricolor be perceived differently?”

What future do you see for Ukraine?

Honestly?

Of course.

I won’t mince words. Ukraine should not exist as a state. These are Russian lands, and they must return to Russia. Exactly in what form this will happen is debatable. It can be a confederation or joining Russia directly. We will discuss this with the people. But we must make it clear that Ukraine, as anti-Russia, as a state deeply hostile to Russia, should not exist. This is our native Russian land, this is our people, even if they have been poisoned with nationalism now. But these are our people.

And, if this is our strategy, if we say that we have returned home, come to roost, the West will treat this situation completely differently. It see that resistance is futile, that causing a world war is meaningless, because we are in our right, we are on our land. And negotiations can only be about consolidating the new status of the current territory of Ukraine — nothing more. And, of course, the people will treat us completely differently, realizing that we are back, that we have come to stay.”
